Cala Petita Beach

Cala Petita beach has many different names, also known as Cala D’or beach and Golden Bay. The sandy shores at Cala Petita are a must-visit for those looking for a small beach with tropical white sands and calm waters.

Being closest to the marina at Cala D’or means that you are also able to explore the harbour whilst marvelling over the many impressive boats that dock here.

Sunbed and parasol hire is also available at Cala Petita, however, there are many rocky edges covered in pine trees which jut out from the edge of the cove, providing some shade. Much like Cala Gran, Cala Petita can also get quite busy during the holiday season, so it is always best to head to the beach early to ensure you get a good spot.

Cala D’or Harbour

Being renowned among many as having a great social scene means that Cala D’or harbour is most certainly worth a visit. You don’t only get to explore the magnificent marina itself, but with plenty of lively bars and restaurants surrounding it, there is much to do here.

If you want to admire some of the most expensive and glamorous boats that visit Cala D’or, then you will be sure to see them at the harbour. Huge white yachts are docked up and down the marina, as their owners all go to enjoy the town.

Evening at the marina is also a great time to go, as the town comes to life and the many cocktail bars that line the edge of the harbour serve locals and tourists alike. Some of the bars around the marina also stay open as late as 4 am during high season, so it’s the place to be if you want to stay out late.

Cala D’or’s harbour is also a great place to go for those looking to do some luxury shopping. There are many boutique and high-end shops along the edge of the port, selling everything from clothes and shoes to jewellery.

Santanyi Town

Santanyi town is located about 9.5 miles away from Cala D’or and is a great place to go for the day if you’re looking to explore another great town in Mallorca. This beautiful town offers the perfect blend of sophistication, art, natural beauty and tranquillity.

Its golden stone buildings and charming cobblestone streets make Santanyi the perfect place to go for those seeking an authentic Spanish town. There is also plenty of history to uncover here, with landmarks such as the old city wall and Porta Muarada.

Santanyi is more of a rural town in Mallorca, but still has plenty going on. If you want to wander through the many stalls in a traditional Spanish market, then Santanyi boasts its offering on Wednesdays and Saturdays. During market days the stalls are also full of fresh local produce and great souvenirs.
