We are delighted to offer this four-bedroom townhouse which is nestled in the historical streets quarter of Pollensa old town. This tastefully property has been lovingly reformed by the owners, using the best quality fixtures and fittings.
The property is for eight people and is split in two levels. Upon entering the house, there is a dining area with A/C, and a separate large lounge with comfortable sofas, flat screen TV, satellite TV, DVD and another A/C unit. A few steps take us to the lovely and modern fitted kitchen, fully equipped with ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is also a table and chairs to use during breakfast time, and a storeroom with lots of storage space. The kitchen has also access to the swimming pool area and terraces.
The bedrooms are located on the upper level, and they comprise of two twin bedrooms and two doubles. Each one of the two double bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom (one has an en-suite shower room and the other one has an en-suite full bathroom), while the twins share a shower room. All the rooms in the house benefit of fitted wardrobes and air-conditioning / heating units. In addition, one of the double bedrooms has direct access not only to the swimming pool area, but also to an upper terrace that enjoys very beautiful views over the town of Pollensa and to the bay of Puerto Pollensa.
The pool area is very well designed, and it has an elegant swimming pool with roman steps, surrounded by a stone terrace very beautiful lit at night. While it is close to some other buildings, it really is a terrific bonus since there are very few properties so centric and, at the same time, with such a large terrace/pool area. Besides the pool, this area also has a pool side shower, a sun terrace with plenty of sunbeds, an exterior toilet, and a fantastic covered barbeque with great exterior furniture that will delight those who enjoy al fresco cooking and/or eating.
All in all, Hortita Townhouse is a stylish base in one of Mallorca’s most appealing towns, and is an excellent choice for anyone interested in a more authentically local base, whilst keeping the beach within easy reach. It is right in the heart of Pollensa, just 200 mts. to either the main square (with its fantastic Sunday market and with a large selection of bars, restaurants and shops), and the famous Calvary steps. We also recommend to take time to feel the atmosphere and the essence of the town by wandering the smaller back streets and discovering the clutch of small museums, churches and small restaurants and shops.
Please, note that the old streets are not the most welcoming to traffic. However, Hortita has a very small garage, really helpful for loading and unloading purposes.
Since car hire is not essential, in case you prefer not to use the car, for days at the beach the local bus connects you to Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente (both just 7 Km. away). Taxis are also an option, and they are relatively plentiful.
Please be aware that lively fiestas take place in Pollensa between the end of July and August, 2nd and the spectacular “Davallament” procession takes place in the centre of the town on Good Friday.
